Mind Your Financial Manners

Our parents gave us the financial tools they knew and passed them on to us. For some, that information has created Financial Freedom for others, and it has led to a Financial Train wreck.

With all of the information, it can be extremely overwhelming to navigate through what will work best for you and your family. We tend to avoid this issue until it is either too late and or some tragedy or disaster strikes.

When dealing with money, time is of utmost importance. When the thought comes to you, the process should be started IMMEDIATELY. Not every account, policy, and or strategy is suitable for everyone. Just like a fingerprint, your financial blueprint is also unique.

The first step is to come to grips with your personal money story and what your relationship to it is. Once that has been established, the next step is to find a dedicated Advisor who will steer you in the proper direction depending on your income, assets, and experience that will determine what steps you will take next.

It is a mindset shift to be able to change the old patterns and adopt new strategies to put you and your family on the path to clearing out debt, boosting credit, and becoming financially self-sufficient.

We will discuss in the upcoming months how to create new thought patterns, how to stimulate the frequency that generates income, which also translates to wealth.

It’s a complete lifestyle change that will pay off in the end. Until next time Mind your Money Manners.   Mind Your Money Manners By: Cherese L. Spand CFF resetmyfinances@gmail.com 484-222-3050

Debt Credit Counseling

Debt Credit Counseling

They are collection agencies working for and under the control of the major credit counseling card companies. Most of these agencies will be able to help you do lower your interest rates a little and usually only concerning credit cards. It will only work if the credit card companies are willing to participate. If you need to get rid of debt, credit counseling agencies are not the answer. By the time you need to relieve the financial pressures of your debt, knocking a little bit of interest off of your credit cards is not going to be enough.

A bankruptcy, on the other hand, can get rid of debt; this is why credit-counseling agencies hate them. The credit card companies and the counseling agencies know that bankruptcy can get you out from under their control. If you can’t pay your bills and are considering using a consumer counseling plan to get out of debt, you should at least find a bankruptcy attorney that gives free debt consultations and see how bankruptcy works.

In some cases, the credit counseling that runs ads on TV and more often on the Internet are scams. Be careful when an ad offers to make you debt-free without having to file bankruptcy. More often than not, the old saying that “nothing in life is free” holds, and the victims of these scams send these scam organizations their money and never get anything in return.

The second scam is the “save 60% in just seconds,” a credit card counseling sales pitch. The first problem with this is that even if the credit counseling agency is real, they only represent the credit card companies, so they can only help you out with your credit cards. When you take this into account with the fact that all that they will be able to save you is money off of the interest, you can see you will not be saving enough money to help you get back on your feet.

Finally, the real problem with the credit counseling agencies is that even if they are not a scam, they are in effect looking out for the credit card companies’ best interests. It is how credit counseling agencies work. First, they work with credit card companies and get them to agree to lower interest rates in exchange for an agreement that outlines regular monthly payments set up by the credit counseling agency. Why do credit card companies decide to do this? The main reason is to keep you out of the hands of bankruptcy attorneys. Bankruptcy laws are to get the citizens out of debt, not interest debt.

Only bankruptcy can get you out of your debt; this is why the credit card companies and credit counseling agencies like to make bankruptcy seem so evil. Nobody wants to file bankruptcy, but there comes the point when you realize that you can no longer afford or ever pay off the debt that you have accumulated. When you get to this point, a credit counseling agency may seem like a great alternative. Still, chances are you will just end up in the same situation until you decide to file bankruptcy and relieve your financial burden.

3 Pertinent Ways to Shift Your Limiting Money Beliefs

3 Pertinent Ways to Shift Your Limiting Money Beliefs

Beliefs. They are the underlying operating system for how we make our decisions and therefore what we decide to do and not do. They live in our subconscious mind, which does not have the ability to accept nor reject information. Meaning, any time we have an emotional reaction to something, the belief around it is automatically accepted into our subconscious mind unless we are using our conscious mind (which can accept or reject information), to vet what goes in there. Most people don’t realize they can do this, and what happens if they don’t! So, if deep down we don’t feel worthy of success, we will see life and make designs form this lens. We must first get clear on what is in there, and then reprogram it with new empowered beliefs if what’s in there isn’t so great.

My motto is that we need to be of service first and foremost always in our businesses. When we can accept and trust the universe always has our backs, and is going to show-us more and more people and opportunities to serve, we can relax, have fun and be of complete service. We’re not worrying about money in this place or where the next client is going to come from. The money is secondary.

However, if we aren’t open to receiving money, we will create all kinds of problems for ourselves. For example, when I first started looking at my own money beliefs, I realized deep down I believed rich people were in some way arrogant and selfish. I was sabotaging the success I said I wanted because I had a value conflict – I didn’t want to be that type of person.

Here are 3 things you can do now to become aware of your beliefs around money and start shifting them too.

1. What do you believe about money and success? What were you taught by society, your culture and influential people in your life while growing-up?

2. What would you like to believe instead? What is the new empowered belief you would like to have in place for the old? Repeat this over and over and OVER!!!! You will start to reprogram your subconscious mind by creating new experiences that support this new empowered belief i.e. things will start happening in your external world that support this new belief! YAY!

3. Find role models who are at the level you want to be at, who also share the same values as you. This will help you reframe how you are seeing successful people. As Tony Robbins said, money just magnifies who you are already. If you’re an a-hole, it will make you a bigger a-hole. If you’re kind and loving, you will spread more love and kindness. I totally agree.

Have fun exploring, and get ready for financial abundance!

PS If you are doing really well in your business, but still always seem to just have enough to get by with your current expenses and lifestyle, there is more digging and shifting to be done.
