Melissa spent 2+ decades of working as a Consultant, Coach and Senior Human Resources Executive helping clients work through and embrace change. Her experience ranges from building and executing talent strategies that drive transformative large-scale change, designing leadership and talent management programs, developing and teaching new skills, and most importantly coaching and advising people and leadership. It is in the coaching part of her work that she found her true passion; to help people navigate change personally and professionally. Through her life experiences of working with young adults battling self- esteem, body image and eating disorders, competing in endurance races, parenting three girls, self-reflection and a craving to further help people through change, Melissa switched gears from Corporate Veteran to Entrepreneur and Coach. Melissa founded The Human Group, LLC a professional and personal coaching and advisory practice. She also works within a Therapy and Wellness Center as the resident life coach. Melissa is a Master Certified Life Coach (M.C.L.C.) and a Certified Design Thinking Practitioner applying Human Centered design to all her work. Her educational background is in Psychology, Communication and Counseling. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Denison University in Psychology and Communication and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas.
